Badger Insider features ‘The List’

October 2, 2008 By Kate Dixon

What should University of Wisconsin–Madison students experience before graduation? Alumni shared their recommendations, and the top 14 can’t-miss campus activities are featured in the latest edition of Badger Insider magazine.

Badger Insider is an exclusive publication for members of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). The fall 2008 edition features “The List,” a collection of must-do activities for UW students to consider before they leave campus. Submitted by hundreds of UW alumni, the collection includes favorite campus gathering spots, food recommendations and game-day activities.

While still Badger red at heart, the new issue of Badger Insider also goes “green,” debuting a smaller format for the magazine to save printing and paper used for the publication.

In addition, the fall issue includes:

  • Street of Dreams: The back story of UW–Madison football as told in the halls beneath Camp Randall Stadium.
  • Pop Quiz: A challenge for those who think they know it all about UW–Madison’s residence halls.
  • Badgering: Catch up with Liz Matthews, a WAA member and 1993 UW–Madison graduate who founded Even Keel, a yoga apparel company.

WAA members will also receive the new Halloween costume for “Flat Bucky’s Wardrobe,” as well as new photos from the pocket-sized mascot’s worldwide travels.

Each issue of Badger Insider features articles about UW–Madison history, points of campus pride and the Badger experience, as written and photographed by alumni themselves. The magazine also highlights the lives and experiences of UW–Madison alumni and WAA members around the world. Badger Insider is delivered to WAA members four times per year.

The only way to receive Badger Insider, Flat Bucky and other exclusive benefits is to be a member of the Wisconsin Alumni Association. All alumni and friends are welcome.
