‘Badger Insider’ features Memorial Union’s brides, grooms

April 14, 2008

Love is in the air as University of Wisconsin–Madison Badgers share their stories of matrimony at the Memorial Union in the latest edition of Badger Insider magazine.

Badger Insider is an exclusive publication for members of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). The spring 2008 edition features couples who tied the knot at the place where it all began and explains what it takes to book the Memorial Union for that special day.

The spring 2008 issue of Badger Insider magazine also includes:

  • Nixon’s German Big Ten Rivalry: Find out what it’s like to play professionally for Germany’s top league from former Badger basketball star Ray Nixon.
  • Badger Love: Love birds describe their favorite UW–Madison dating stories and the ups and downs of being a Badger in love.
  • Badgering: Catch up with Kathryn Rathke, who created illustrations for the movie "Charlotte’s Web." She earned her bachelor’s degree from UW–Madison in 1984, followed by a master of fine arts degree in 1990.

WAA members will also receive the newest addition to "Flat Bucky’s Wardrobe," as well as new photos from the pocket-size mascot’s worldwide travels.

Each issue of Badger Insider features articles about UW–Madison history, points of campus pride and the Badger experience, as written and photographed by UW–Madison alumni themselves. The magazine also highlights the lives and experiences of UW–Madison alumni and WAA members around the world. Badger Insider is delivered to WAA members four times per year.

The only way to receive Badger Insider, Flat Bucky and other exclusive benefits is to be a member of the Wisconsin Alumni Association. All alumni and friends are welcome. Details are available here.
