Arts administrators go online

October 25, 2001 By Barbara Wolff

Current students, active professionals and alumni now have a new online discussion tool in the form of the Bolz Center for Arts Administration’s IdeaPortal.

“The Bolz Center has always been a ‘center’ of discussion on high-level issues in arts management. The IdeaPortal is one way of carrying that discussion into the online world,” says Bolz Center director Andrew Taylor.

Other recent initiatives at the center:

  • “Frames of Reference” is a series of roundtable discussions around the country for high-level managers in the arts. The first is scheduled for Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Friday, Oct. 26.
  • Bolz Center Public Lecture Series, two keynotes Friday, Nov. 2, will touch on issues directly relevant to Madison’s Overture Center development.

For more information on these new programs, or the UW–Madison Bolz Center, contact Taylor, (608) 263-4161, ataylor@bus.wisc.edu.
