Story published in error
The Wednesday, March 21, Wisconsin Week story, “UW Launches Center for Patient Partnerships,” was a draft version of an article and was published in error. The center is scheduled for consideration by the University Academic Planning Council later this month. Wisconsin Week apologizes for the early release of the information.

Police to open new office
UW-Madison police have established a fourth district on campus and assigned an officer to the area. The “Central Campus Community” is located west of Park Street, east of Babcock Drive, north of University Avenue and south of Observatory Drive. Also included in this community will be the Social Science Building. Kathern Paige has been named as the area’s officer. The Central Campus Community office will open at the Preschool Lab, 1440 Linden Drive, sometime in April or May. To contact Paige: 262-2957, kmpaige@facstaff.wisc.edu

Wiley at Roundtable
Chancellor John Wiley will share his thoughts about his first 100 days in office at the University Roundtable on Thursday, April 12. The buffet luncheon will be held in the Memorial Union’s Tripp Commons starting at 11:45 a.m. Seating is limited to 200 people. Those who have not yet made reservations should call 263-2985 to find out if space is still available. The cost is $8.50, which can be paid at the door.

No Open House this year
Due to the many school, college and institutional events this year, the next Campus Open House will be in 2002. Last year’s event was coordinated by the Office of Visitor Services and planned by a campus- wide council. Between 10,000 and 15,000 participants enjoyed more than 240 exhibits. Noel Radomski, director, Office of Visitor Services, says, “We look forward to working with many schools, colleges and campus units as we begin the process of coordinating the next campus open house in 2002.” Those interested in participating in the 2002 event should contact Radomski, 263-0238, radomski@bascom.wisc.edu.

Arboretum tiles still available
Although the deadline to reserve an engraved tiles as part of the Arboretum capital campaign was Dec. 31, there are still a limited number of tiles available. The new deadline is Friday, April 13. The College of Engineering‘s technology fair Thursday, April 19, through Saturday, April 21, highlights cutting-edge technology being created by engineering students as well as leaders in industry.
