Adbusters advocacy group to speak March 21

March 15, 2002

The free speech advocates and social critics Adbusters will lecture on campus Thursday, March 21.

The free public event starts at 7 p.m. in Lubar Commons, 7200 Law Building, sponsored by the Law School and the UW–Madison Art Department.

Adbusters, a nonprofit free speech advocacy group from British Columbia, Canada, will discuss the group’s role in combating the influences of corporate advertising on the consumer mind. Members plan to discuss ways of “culture-jamming the corporate mega-structure in today’s advertising hierarchy.”
