Academic Staff Institute offers networking and professional development opportunities

This year’s Academic Staff Institute features networking opportunities as well as the chance to laugh with speaker Michael Feldman, host of Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Whad’Ya Know?”

The institute is set for 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Union South (see Today in the Union for room number).

Speakers/sessions include a keynote by Interim Chancellor David Ward, WPR’s Feldman, educational innovators and innovations, improvisation for personal development, leveraging your team’s strengths, your rights as academic staff and the opportunity to share your academic staff stories with oral history archivist Troy Reeves.

The institute is sponsored by the Madison Academic Staff Association, Office of the Provost, Academic Staff Executive Committee, Academic Staff Professionals Representation Organization and the Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff.
