First-year head football coach Bret Bielema autographs memorabilia during the Wisconsin Football Family Fun Day, an annual outreach event hosted by the Athletic Department, on Aug. 20 at Camp Randall Stadium. Badger fans of all ages were invited to the free public event, where the Wisconsin football team was available for photos and autographs. The team plays its season-opening game at Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 2.

Park St. Several campus units relocated to the building during the summer, including the Division of Enrollment Management Administration, the Office of the Registrar, the Integrated Student Information System, Orientation and New Student Programs, the Office of Human Resources’ Customer Access Center, Benefits Services, Payroll and Financial Services, Classified Human Resources, Information Technology Business Systems and Services, International Faculty and Staff Services, Cultural Linguistic Services, the Welcome Center, the Office of the Bursar, Business Services Administration, Internal Audit, Purchasing Services, Risk Management, Research and Sponsored Programs, Accounting Services and Transportation Services.

The power of spoken words
Participant and co-instructor Roberto “Hispanic Panic” Rivera, accompanied by guitarist Quinn Fitzpatrick, performs a piece during a workshop for spoken-word poets and hip-hop artists held at the Gilbert Hemsley Theatre in Vilas Hall. The workshop, part of Youth Speaks Wisconsin, was targeted at helping K-12 teachers and youth services personnel, most from Madison and Milwaukee, to harness the power of spoken words.
