Campus message to international students
Message from Interim Assistant Dean/Director Samantha McCabe
In my message to you yesterday, I referenced current guidance we had from the Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). We received additional guidance from SEVP this morning. Your student visa immigration document can remain active if you continue full-time enrollment or have an approved ISS Reduced Course Load (RCL). This applies if you remain in the U.S. or choose to leave the country and remain outside of the U.S. for the remainder of the semester.
I know that you are receiving frequent communications with COVID-19 updates. ISS will try to limit the number of emails we send to you and continue to update the ISS website as soon as additional information becomes available. Continue to check the UW COVID-19 website for the most current information and action s campus is taking.
You are a valued member of our campus community, and we are here to support you. I encourage you to reach out to University Health Services, Dean of Students Office, or ISS staff with any questions or concerns. ISS will remain open during spring break and is available for online services through your Terra Dotta portal. We are also available by email at iss@studentlife.wisc.edu.
The Parent and Family Program is sending occasional updates to undergraduate student parent and family contacts. I encourage you to share this site as well as covid19.wisc.edu with your contacts so that they have the latest information as well.
In support,
Samantha McCabe
Interim Assistant Dean/Director
