UW pays tribute to Laurel Clark
UW–Madison has recognized alumna Laurel Clark, one of the victims of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. Clark received a bachelor’s degree in zoology in 1983 and a medical degree in 1987. Thus far, the university has:
- set up a fund in Clark’s name to award a scholarship to a science student each year
- offered a full scholarship to Clark’s son, should he choose to attend UW–Madison, and
- placed a wreath in front of Bascom Hall in remembrance of Clark’s life and work.
