Chancellor Biddy Martin shakes hands with a long line of well-wishers at a cookout on Bascom Hill on Wednesday, July 13. The event, which offered brats and Strawbiddy Swirl ice cream, gave the campus community a chance to say good-bye to Martin, who leaves this week after serving as UW–Madison chancellor since 2008. She has accepted a new position as president of Amherst College in Massachusetts.
