Visit renovated child care program

September 8, 2010

The Office of Child Care and Family Resources announces an open house for the recently renovated child care program in operation at No. 39 University Apartments.

The project, completed in March, is the home of the Preschool Lab while its facility on Linden Drive is under construction. In 2012, the center will be the future site of expanded child care programming developed with the Office of Child Care and Family Resources, according to director Lynn Edlefson.

The open house is scheduled for 5:30–7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Building 39 University Houses. The program includes Angela Pakes-Ahlman, project manager for FPM, and Chancellor Biddy Martin, who will provide comments and officiate at the ribbon-cutting ceremony beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Facility tours and program information will be provided by Preschool Lab early education teachers. Light refreshments will be served. All interested campus faculty, staff and students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

RSVP to Connie Wilson at 890-2841. Car-pooling is encouraged, and a shuttle will be available to transport guests from Lot Z and Lot 131 to the center every 15 minutes.
