Audience members needed for taping of Big Ten Network program

August 27, 2007

The first taping of “Wisconsin Reflections,“ a television interview show produced by the University of Wisconsin–Madison for the Big Ten Network, will be done Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Vilas Hall.

A few studio audience spots remain for the taping, which will feature guests Al Toon, a former Badgers and NFL wide receiver and a successful area businessman, and acclaimed jazz pianist Ben Sidran, who has been a major figure in jazz, rock and pop for more than 40 years.

Faculty, staff and students interested in being a part of the studio audience are asked to contact Peter Kleppin, Big Ten Network project manager at 262-8292 or Kleppin@wisc.edu. The taping for Toon begins at 1:30 and for Sidran at 2:30. Audience members are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to taping at the WHA-TV studios in Vilas Hall.

The Big Ten Network, which debuts on Aug. 30, will mix its sports programming with campus programming from the 11 universities that make up the conference. During the course of the year, each campus will have up to 60 hours of non-sports programming to showcase students, faculty research, alumni and provide a window into the diverse learning environment that Big Ten schools offer.
