Foreshadowed
Long tree shadows from a nearby wooded area frame a view of a golfer digging his way out of a sand trap onto a lush green at University Ridge Golf Course during autumn. The aerial view is from a helicopter flying overhead. Located southwest of Madison, the university-owned, 18-hole golf course is home to UW–Madison’s men’s and women’s golf teams, and open to the general public.

Doubletake
Wisconsin athletic director and former head football coach Barry Alvarez comments on seeing his likeness after a life-size bronze sculpture was unveiled at Kellner Hall Plaza outside Camp Randall Stadium on Oct. 13. The sculpture, paid for by gift funds to the chancellor’s office, honors Alvarez’s winning legacy as head football coach of the Wisconsin Badgers from 1990-2005.
