Van Vleck expected to reopen for Tuesday classes

March 3, 2008

Van Vleck Hall is expected to be open for work and classes Tuesday.

A power outage and flooding cancelled Monday’s classes in the building. Electrical engineers spent Monday working on repairing electrical service to the building.

As of 4:30 p.m. the building was still closed, but power was expected to be restored this evening.

However, all students, faculty and staff are asked to check for the latest update from the UW-Madison homepage before traveling to the building Tuesday.

Any class relocations, make-ups or rescheduling of Van Vleck classes from Monday, March 3, will be made at the discretion of individual instructors.

On Monday, the UW–Madison central campus experienced power outages in several campus buildings and sporadic network outages.
