Updates to dining operations

March 18, 2020

UW-Madison has decided to suspend Spring Semester face-to-face instruction for the remainder of the spring semester to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 virus on our campus. As a result, effectively immediately University Housing Dining has made changes to service during this time to service. We have limited location and hours. Here’s how we are working to keep everyone safe and healthy:

  • All food will be served to go. There will be no in-house dining.
  • There will be a variety of grab and go items, prepackaged salads and sandwiches, and hot food offerings for you to select from. Self-service areas of the market (such as salad bars, soup bars, etc. are closed).
  • All food will be served in disposable/compostable to-go containers as will the dinner ware.
  • A variety of bottled beverages are available in cases. All self-serve beverage dispensers are closed.

Also, in accordance with the order from Governor Evers regarding capacity, no more than 10 people will be allowed in the marketplace at once. Please remember to practice good social distancing as well when in the markets to ensure the health of yourself and others.

Current hours for Four Lakes Market and Gordon Avenue market are available on the University Housing website.
