Upcoming deadline for CIBER grant opportunity

March 2, 2011

The UW–Madison Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) offers a Global Research and Curriculum Development grant program for faculty and academic staff with instructional responsibilities. The deadline for the next round of awards is Friday, April 1.

CIBER’s Global Research/Curriculum Development grants award up to $7,500 for international research or curriculum development projects such as developing an international study tour or enhancing a business language course.

Requests for funding under either program must relate to one or more of CIBER’s programmatic goals, including internationalizing curriculum content; creating faculty development and enrichment programs; collaborating with foreign language departments to develop business language courses; funding global research projects, events and publications on issues of strategic national interest; and creating and sponsoring business outreach and training programs to enhance the ability of U.S. business to compete internationally.

CIBER Global Research and Curriculum Development awards can be used to support participation by faculty and instructional staff in the CIBER Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) programs. A number of FDIBs will take place in May, including Mercosur, the European Union, Africa, central and eastern Europe, Russia and Brazil.

For more information, visit CIBER online or contact Suzanne Dove, CIBER director of outreach.
