University Health Services plans first talk in new series

University Health Services staff will share expertise and experience concerning students, their lives and health through a series of programs in 1999-2000.

The presentations are designed to open communications and sustain a dialogue with faculty, staff and students about pressing concerns in campus life.

The first talk in the series, “Building Campus and Community Partnerships,” Thursday, Sept. 16, 3:30-5 p.m., will help students connect to Madison and campus communities. Members of the UHS Campus Community Partnerships Team will explore the links between engagement, service, healthy relationships and community building as factors in the health of our community. Presenters include UHS director Richard Keeling, members of the Campus Community Partnerships Team and the students of Sex Out Loud.

Subsequent events will be on the third Thursday of each month from 3:30-5 p.m. at Memorial Union. Please check Today in the Union for exact location. Each presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
