Teaching Academy names new members

The UW–Madison Teaching Academy announces the induction of 27 new members; 14 Fellows and 13 Future Faculty Partners (FFPs).

The induction ceremony was held April 28.

The new fellows include: Bernadette Baker, curriculum and instruction; Jason Bleedorn, surgical science; Sage Goellner, liberal studies and the arts; Jeanne Hamers, chemistry; Eric Hooper, physics and astronomy; Amy Kindschi, Wendt Commons in engineering; Andrew J. Lokuta, physiology; Amy Moser, human oncology; Traci Nathans-Kelly, engineering; Christine Nicometo, engineering; Susan Nossal, physics; Elizabeth Rice, nursing; Susan Wenker, orthopedics and rehabitation; Diana Wheeler, Wendt Commons in engineering

The Future Faculty Partners (FFPs) include: Mary Beth Anzovino, chemistry; Amanda Bohlig, counseling psychology; Jennifer Conrad, English, Stacie L. Fishell, counseling psychology; Elizabeth Hussa, bacteriology; Jill Hopke, life science communication; Mary McAvoy, theatre research; Carly Roberts, rehabilitation and special education; Campbell Scribner, history and education policy studies; Henghua Su, East Asian languages and literature; Stillman Wagstaff, English; Anthony Gregerson electrical and computer engineering; Susannah Sample, medical sciences and surgical sciences.

FFPs are current graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in teaching. The FFP affiliation is intended to encourage involvement of the next generation of college and university educators in campus dialogue about teaching and learning.

Teaching Academy Fellows and FFP’s come from departments all across campus.
