Summer classes offered to high school teachers

February 26, 2001

New and experienced high school teachers of Advanced Placement and upper-level courses are invited to the ninth Summer Advanced Placement Institute June 25-29.

The institute will focus on biology, economics, English, environmental science, French, mathematics, U.S. government, U.S. history, Spanish and statistics. UW–Madison faculty teach the classes in partnership with experienced high school AP teachers.

Applications are now being accepted. Because some workshops have limited enrollment, teachers are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Per-credit fees are $158.75 if enrolling as a UW–Madison special student or $367.35 if enrolling as a UW–Madison graduate student. Participants can enroll for one to three credits.
