Students invited to audition for ‘Greed’

March 7, 2000 By

Contestant scouts for the Fox Network’s new game show “Greed” will be visiting campus Thursday, March 9, in search of students to appear on a college edition of the show later this spring.

Auditions will be held in Great Hall, Memorial Union, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Each student will be asked to show a student ID and a state-issued ID, fill out an application and take a qualifying quiz. Those who pass the quiz will be asked to stay for a second round of one-on-one auditions with the show’s contestant staff.

After final approval by the show’s executive producer in Los Angeles, up to four students will be flown to Los Angeles to appear on “College Greed” as part of a Big Ten team. Contestants could win $2 million.

“Greed,” hosted by Chuck Woolery, airs in Madison on WMSN (Ch. 47) Fridays, 8-9 p.m., and on some additional days as well.
