Students available for spring chores

April 23, 2008

Now that the winter snow has finally receded, thoughts turn to reseeding the lawn, or at least removing the detritus of winter and getting things spruced up for spring. Put down that rake — students in the Concert Choir want to help.

The cheerful and enthusiastic students are available for nearly any home project you may have, from raking and trimming to planting and hauling brush. They can also help out with spring-cleaning chores. And as a bonus, they’ll sing while they are working if you ask them.

Rates are flexible, but are in the range of $15-$25 per hour per worker, determined by the demands and complexity of the job. You’ll need to provide any tools and materials needed for your project(s). The money raised will support the choir’s planned travels to Freiburg, Germany, and Paris next semester. The choir hopes to raise $3,000-$5,000 this spring and plans on holding a similar fall cleanup.

Make your reservation for yard work help at concertchoiryardwork@gmail.com. Please include details on the job, preferred dates and hours you’d like students to work, how many workers you’d like, and a telephone number where you can be reached. A member of the team will then contact you to confirm arrangements.
