Spike Lee cancels Feb. 26 appearance

The next scheduled speaker at the Distinguished Lecture Series, filmmaker Spike Lee, has canceled his Tuesday, Feb. 26, appearance, citing work in progress on a new documentary and teaching obligations at New York University.

The DLS Committee of the Wisconsin Union Directorate that schedules these speakers will announce scheduling of the substitute and date next week.

Two remaining DLS speakers are The Guerrilla Girls Broadband Inc., satirical arts activists scheduled Tuesday, March 12, and Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor, author and 1986 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, scheduled Tuesday, April 16.
