Second branding forum slated for Feb. 2

February 1, 2006

The second in a series of programs examining branding principles and their application to UW–Madison, its schools and its colleges will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Fluno Center.

David Florin, president and partner of the Hiebing Group, an integrated marketing and brand development firm based in Madison, will speak on “Unlocking the Brand Potential Within.” What Florin calls “Applied Branding 200” will include a look at some of the ongoing challenges the university faces in realizing its brand potential. He also will cover areas such as master brand versus sub-brand relationships; brand integration; and managing consumer touchpoints and creating an emotional connection with a target market.

Individuals with responsibility for the marketing and communication of campus units are particularly encouraged to attend. There is no cost, and no reservations are needed.

For more information, contact Tricia Dickinson, UW–Madison marketing director, at 265-9005 or pmdickinson@wisc.edu. The program is sponsored by University Communications, the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the School of Business.
