Seats Remain for Stones Concert

September 24, 1997

Good seats are still available for the Oct. 6 Rolling Stones concert at Camp Randall Stadium. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster outlets for $60 and $39.50, plus handling charges. Students may buy them at a reduced price — $40 and $19.50.

The reduced-price tickets for students can only be purchased in person at a Ticketmaster outlet or at the Camp Randall ticket office on the day of the concert. A valid UW student ID is required for the discount price. There is a limit of two tickets per student.

On concert day, regularly-priced and student-priced tickets will be sold at Gate 6 of the stadium from noon-5 p.m., and at Gate 7 from 5-9 p.m. Will call will be at Gate 6.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. with opening band Blues Traveler. The Stones are expected to take the stage around 8:45 p.m. The gates at Camp Randall will open at 5:30 p.m.

There will be free parking in lots 60 and 70, and concert-goers can take Madison Metro’s Bucky Bus from there to the stadium and back for $1 round-trip.

Concert-goers are reminded that smoking is not allowed in the stadium. Prohibited carry-ins include food and beverages, controlled substances, coolers, containers, umbrellas, novelty items on sticks or standards, stadium horns or other sound devices, banners, cameras, recording devices, fireworks and weapons.
