School offers special-edition calendar

September 9, 2003

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the School of Veterinary Medicine is offering a special-edition 2004 calendar. The calendar will feature full-color images of large and small animals accompanied by faculty, staff, students and clients at the School. Each month features animal-related holidays or events (such as the Westminster Dog Show and the Kentucky Derby) in addition to standards such as Valentine’s Day and Thanksgiving, plus a brief description of some aspect of the veterinary school and an animal health tip or fact.

Calendars can be purchased at the school’s Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, via the school’s Web site, and at The University Book Store, Frugal Muse and Paul’s Book Store, as well as many animal-related Madison area businesses, including Happy Dogz, Noah’s Ark and Pet World.

The calendar retails at $12.50. Proceeds from the calendar benefit the veterinary school’s programs, including improved facilities, scholarships, and improved treatments of animal diseases and disorders. No state dollars were used to print the calendar.

The School of Veterinary Medicine accepted its first class in 1983.
