Rose Lavelle: We knew her when

Almost everybody knows who Rose Lavelle is now, after her star turn on the 2019 U.S. National Women’s soccer team that won the Women’s World Cup and her role on this year’s team trying win a third straight World Cup title.

But before her fame, Rose was a Badger just like you and me — bundling up on cold winter days, dressing up her dog in a UW–Madison shirt. Here’s a look, from the way-back machine, both at her days as a Badger and events since, including her 2020 commencement address:
