Remember time difference, daylight switch

Fans traveling to Indiana for this weekend’s Final Four should note that most of the Hoosier state, including Indianapolis, follows Eastern Standard Time all year. That means the UW-Michigan State semifinal game will tip off in Indianapolis at 5:42 p.m. Saturday, Indianapolis time.

Fans watching or listening to the game in Wisconsin should tune in at 4:42 p.m. Saturday.

However, if the Badgers defeat the Spartans and advance to Monday’s NCAA championship game, the game time will be the same in Indiana and Wisconsin. That is because Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday morning and moves the Central Time Zone ahead one hour.
