Partners in Giving campaign to end Nov. 28, still time to contribute

The annual Partners in Giving fundraising campaign, now in its sixth week, will come to its official close Friday, Nov. 28. As of Nov. 17, the campaign has raised $1,046,783 in support of charitable organizations.

On the university side, 1,163 of the more than 23,000 employees have contributed a total of $365,958. Nearly $300 was raised through special events organized by various units. University Hospital and Clinics employees have contributed $3,911.

On the state side, 2,638 of the 14,010 employees have given $676,835, and various agencies have raised more than $32,600 by holding special events.

There is still time to give, and this year for the first time contributors have the option of giving by credit card. Visit http://giving.wi.gov and click on the “Give By Credit Card” link.

With the current economic situation, the number of those in need of charitable services is growing and charities are finding it more difficult to raise funds. Your gift, no matter what the amount, will help.
