Nursing dean Prock dies

Valencia Prock, dean of the School of Nursing from 1970 until 1984, died Dec. 18, in Madison. Under her leadership, graduate programs expanded and the school moved to its current location in the Clinical Sciences Center. An Ohio native, Prock specialized in the field of aging. After serving as dean, she spent two years in the Peace Corps in West Africa. Memorial services were held Jan. 2 in Madison.
