New administration building to open this summer

Several units will be moving to a new administration building, located at 21 N. Park St., in July and August.

Relocating will be the Division of Enrollment Management Administration, the Office of the Registrar, the Integrated Student Information System, Orientation and New Student Programs, the Office of Human Resources’ Customer Access Center, Benefits Services, Payroll and Financial Services, Classified Human Resources, Information Technology Business Systems and Services, International Faculty and Staff Services, Cultural Linguistic Services, the Welcome Center, the Office of the Bursar, Business Services Administration, Internal Audit, Purchasing Services, Risk Management, Research and Sponsored Programs, Accounting Services and Transportation Services.

The new building will include a drive-thru Transportation Services office, a computer lab and several large professional development and meeting rooms. The parking ramp will accommodate both visitor and employee parking.

Madison Metro has several routes that currently go past the new building, including the 5, 6, 8, 12, 47 and 53 routes. In addition, UW–Madison Transportation Services is starting a new campus bus route connecting North Park Street with the central campus. The new route, (called “South Park”) is scheduled to begin operating as the building is occupied; it will provide weekday service from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. between 21 N.
