Wisconsin wrestling head coach Barry Davis has been named the 2010 National Coach of the Year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. The award caps the most successful season in Wisconsin history, including a fourth-place finish at the national championships, four All-Americans, and sophomore Andrew Howe’s undefeated season and national title.

In recognition of lifetime achievements in research, a Humboldt Research Award has been granted to T. Douglas Price, the Weinstein Professor of European Archaeology and director of the Laboratory for Archaeological Chemistry at UW–Madison as well as a member of the faculty at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.

William Reznikoff, professor emeritus in the Department of Chemistry, has been named the director of education for the Marine Biological Laboratory, the oldest private marine laboratory in the Americas.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has named Nate Davis the 2010 Division I Indoor Track & Field Great Lakes Region Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year.
