Matt Boyle has joined the men’s rowing program as an assistant coach.

Bebe Bryans, women’s rowing head coach, has named Erik Miller Varsity Women’s Lightweight Rowing Coach.

Professor of Curriculum and Instruction Beth Graue has been named director of graduate training of the Wisconsin Center for Educational Research.

University of Wisconsin-Extension Educator Pat Ludeman and Outreach and E-Learning Program Manager John Fischer received 2006 UW–Extension Academic Staff Council Awards for Excellence. The Award recognizes UW System academic staff members who have distinguished themselves in professional or instructional service that furthers the Wisconsin Idea.

William Morgan, professor emeritus of kinesiology and renowned sports psychologist, is the newest recipient of the Hetherington Award, the highest award bestowed by the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Morgan developed the “iceberg profile” in the 1970s to describe the mood characteristics of marathon runners and other athletes, among other accomplishments.
