Max Kade Institute plans event on German-American culture

January 17, 2006

The Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies will hold a poster unveiling and panel presentation titled “How German is American?”

The new outreach effort will examine the ways, both past and present, that German-speaking immigrants to the United States and their descendants have contributed to and been influenced by American culture.

A panel discussion on the creation of a new educational poster and brochure will be followed by an opportunity to mingle. Refreshments and a cash bar will be provided.

The event will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, at the Memorial Union. Check Today in the Union for room location.
