Local UW-Madison alumni to host dinners for 250 students
On Monday and Tuesday, March 30 and 31, the biannual Dinners On Wisconsin! program will take traditional alumni-student networking to the next level — by bringing University of Wisconsin–Madison undergraduates into the homes of alumni for dinner.
Dinners On Wisconsin! gives undergraduate students a chance to learn more about their field of interest in a small-group setting. During the past eight semesters, Dinners On Wisconsin! has connected more than 1,000 students with Madison area alumni.
“We’re excited to continue to give more UW students more opportunities to explore their career fields,” says Sam Chasin, director of the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board (WASB) Alumni Connections program. “I’m confident students will find this year’s group of alumni hosts to be great resources as they explore their future.”
This semester, Dinners On Wisconsin! will feature 20 hosts who will discuss career fields ranging from nursing to venture capitalism to teaching and more. The program was recognized nationally for its success with the “Best Outreach Program” award from the Association for Student Advancement Programs (ASAP).
Registration is now open, and UW–Madison undergraduates are encouraged to sign up promptly to attend this popular program. Registration and more information can be found here.
Dinners on Wisconsin! is organized by WASB, a nonprofit, registered student organization, empowered by the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) at UW–Madison. WASB’s mission is to link students past, present and future. WAA membership dollars help to support this program.
