ISIS begins final phase of upgrade

July 2, 2008

Between 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, and 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, the Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) will be unavailable to campus as it enters the final implementation phase of a major upgrade, which started in late 2007.

Since 1998, ISIS has supplied data for undergraduate and graduate admissions, enrollment, curricular information and timetable, financial aid, student fees and records to all those on campus requiring access to student data. During the outage, student data will be “frozen” with no structural changes or updates possible. Students and campus ISIS users will be e-mailed more specific information about administrative tasks and services unavailable between Aug. 1-11.

ISIS communications will keep all users informed of the latest upgrade news via e-mail and e-newsletters, in addition to status updates and frequently asked questions that can be found at the program’s Web site.

Training opportunities for staff include campus demonstrations, open labs, navigational aids and online navigational tutorials. Descriptions and scheduling information can be found by entering the training portion of the Web site and viewing “Course Catalog.” Campus staff can assist in the upgrade by notifying customers ahead of time about the outage period and by updating department Web sites. Students will receive separate communications.
