The focus of the interview will be the KIDS Report, which is produced by the Scout Project and published biweekly online. The KIDS Report is created by K-12 students who develop their information literacy skills by finding and reviewing web sites.

The Internet Scout Project is a UW–Madison-based initiative to help students and educators effectively navigate the Internet. The project’s services are designed specifically for researchers, faculty, students and staff who use or would benefit from using Internet resources in their research and teaching.

Users of Internet Scout’s online publications include thousands of people in U.S. K-12 schools, as well as international audiences and “life-long learners” of all ages.

The KIDS report, as well as four other reports created for the higher education community, are available for free online or through email subscription from the Internet Scout Project’s homepage.

The Internet Scout Project is funded by the National Science Foundation and is based in UW–Madison’s Department of Computer Sciences.
