International leaders featured in upcoming campus talks

At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Brazilian Ambassador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will present the lecture “U.S.-Brazil Relations: Bilateral, Regional and Global Dimensions.” The talk will be held in 3190 Grainger Hall.

Patriota has been the ambassador of Brazil to the U.S. since 2007. Learn more about the Brazil Initiative at http://brazil.wisc.edu/index.php.

At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, Heraldo Muñoz, Chilean ambassador to the United Nations, will hold a lecture/book signing of “From Dictatorship to the Security Council: A Political Memoir.”

The free event will be held in the University Club’s main dining room.

Muñoz is the permanent representative of Chile to the United Nations and chair of the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission.
