Ice cream social to fete employees

To mark State Employee Recognition Day in Wisconsin, the university will be showing appreciation for its employees with an ice cream social on Bascom Hill from 2:30-4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7. All UW–Madison employees are invited.

Provost Peter Spear, Vice Chancellor for Administration Darrell Bazzell and other campus administrators will be serving up ice cream cones for the occasion.

“We know this is only one small way that we can thank our employees for everything they do on behalf of this institution,” Spear says.

“Not only will the event provide us with a wonderful opportunity to recognize them for all their hard work and dedication, but it will give the employees a chance to get out and enjoy some great Babcock Hall ice cream,” says Bazzell. “We look forward to seeing them there.”
