Historian Zinn plans campus lecture

Howard Zinn, professor, author and historian, will speak at the Memorial Union Theater on ‘The Uses of History,’ Tuesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets will be available at the Wisconsin Union Theater Box Office Wednesday, April 12 to UW students, faculty, staff and Union members, and to the general public Friday, April 14.

A professor emeritus at Boston University, Zinn is one of the country’s most distinguished historians and a decorated World War II Air Force bombardier. Zinn’s masterpiece, “A Peoples’ History of the United States,” documents American history through the eyes of the underprivileged and has sold more than 400,000 copies in 25 printings.
