Greek commission’s chair steps aside after 12 years

April 22, 2003

Jack Ladinsky, professor emeritus of sociology, has stepped down as chair of UW–Madison’s Commission on Fraternities and Sororities, a position he has held since 1991. A successor has not yet been named.

Ladinsky is credited with helping to define the course of the greek community during the past decade through development of a set of recommendations that have become the foundation for the community’s governance. Among the most notable, he helped develop the State of Chapter program, designed to challenge greek chapters to achieve higher standards of operations, programming and student development.
