Get Social: Badger attains emoji status; Leckrone’s final game

UW-Madison social media was dominated this week by something new, and something not so new.

The new? The badger officially became an emoji this fall on many platforms, elating all of Bucky’s fans.

Also, beloved band director Michael Leckrone directed the band at his last football game — and Fifth Quarter — before stepping down after 50 years. That sparked a wave of selfies with the accommodating Leckrone.
