RE: TIP/FRATERNITY CHEF FEATURED ON MARTHA STEWART SHOW

University of Wisconsin–Madison social fraternity Delta Tau Delta Fraternity will be featured on the Thursday, April 20, edition of “Martha,” Martha Stewart’s new lifestyle and cooking show.

Brian Nagle, a junior from Portland, Ore., e-mailed Stewart to thank her for a series of recipes and cooking tips that had improved the food quality of the house.

Stewart’s producers, who were intrigued by the idea of fraternity men watching the show, asked him to make a spaghetti and meatball dinner, take photos and be interviewed by Stewart by phone. The interview took place April 13.

“Guys in the house used to make fun of me for watching her show until they tasted her recipe for meatloaf and mashed potatoes,” Nagle says. “I found her very friendly and personable, and it was a fun thing to do.”

For his effort, Stewart is sending Delta Tau Delta a signed apron.

The show was taped and will air at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, on NBC 15. Delta Tau Delta is located at 12 Langdon St. Nagle can be reached at (608) 628-6779.
