Wisconsin Welcome events sought
Orientation and New Student Programs invites program announcements for the fall 2005 Wisconsin Welcome brochure and Web site. Any student organization or campus unit may submit information about a meeting, program or event related to new students to be printed in the Wisconsin Welcome brochure and posted on the Web site. Fall Wisconsin Welcome activities are scheduled and coordinated through the Orientation and New Student Programs office. Wisconsin Welcome focuses on orienting new students to the UW–Madison community from Tuesday, Aug. 30, through Saturday, Oct. 8. Online short courses offered

In Memoriam
Barry R. Robinson, 49, senior administrative program specialist in the Department of Theatre and Drama, died Tuesday, April 19. He worked at University Theatre for a quarter century, managing its business and public relations, working with the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission and taking an active role in the education of students involved with the theater. He was a valued member of the University Theatre staff, and was very proud of his fund-raising efforts. Robinson served on the Academic Staff Executive Committee and was part of the team that developed professorial titles for academic staff positions in certain areas of research and instruction. He received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Service to the University in 2003. A visitation for Robinson was April 22 and a memorial service took place April 23.
