Executive MBA scholarship offered for non-profit sector

February 24, 2006

The UW–Madison School of Business is offering a two-year scholarship for its Executive MBA program to a qualified applicant who works for a Wisconsin not-for-profit organization.

The scholarship covers 75 percent of program fees, which are $29,500 per year for the two-year, part-time program. Applicants must meet the criteria for the program and be employed full-time by a not-for-profit Wisconsin organization.

The Executive MBA program is designed for mid- and upper-level managers. It has been on the Financial Times ranking of top schools since the international business publication began ranking such programs. In the Oct. 20, 2003 issue, the school was ranked 27th worldwide, 16th among all U.S. schools and 6th among U.S. public business school executive MBA programs.

Michael Knetter, dean of the School of Business, says the scholarship lends a new perspective to the program, while helping non-profit organizations to succeed.

The application deadline for fall 2006 enrollment is May 1. For more information, contact Constance Rieben at (608) 265-2034 or crieben@bus.wisc.edu or visit www.bus.wisc.edu/execmba.
