DoIT Hosts Instructional Technology Open House

June 2, 1997

Over 250 participants attended the faculty symposium on “Teaching, Learning, and Technology” at the end of May. Many attendees found the symposium a valuable insight to the world of instructional technology.

In case you missed that event, you have another opportunity to learn how to use technology in instruction. Would you like to “test drive” some electronic tools yourself? If so, come to “Going online — with a little help from your friends,” an informal, drop-in forum for faculty and instructional staff on June 2-4.

All day long you can try out a variety of hardware and software tools, scan a slide, prepare a PowerPoint presentation, surf the Web, develop a Web page, and more. Or you can ask faculty presenters about using technology in their teaching. The forum runs from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is free. No registration is required. Door prizes will be given away. For more information, go to the Faculty Technology Forum Web page.
