Construction to impact traffic on Park

March 10, 2010

Utility construction will affect vehicle and pedestrian traffic along North Park Street between Johnson Street and Langdon Street for about four weeks this spring.

Starting approximately Monday, March 15, southbound traffic between University Avenue and Johnson Street will be reduced to one lane. Access to the loading dock at Grainger Hall and the bus stop will be maintained. For some of that time, a small portion of North Park Street just south of Langdon will be reduced to one lane in both directions of traffic. Flag people will be used at the lane reduction location to control traffic, but motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Pedestrian circulation will be detoured in several places and they are being asked to not walk in the road and they are urged to care to cross the street at designated crosswalks to avoid sidewalks that have been closed.
