Coming up on the Big Ten Network

The following UW–Madison programming is scheduled for the Big Ten Network in the coming weeks.

Tuesday, March 16

  • 2 p.m. “Office Hours”: Political science professor Ken Goldstein hosts. History professor John Hall and political science professor Jon Pevehouse take a look at the history of the Iraq war and where the United States is headed as the war’s seventh anniversary approaches.
  • 2:30 p.m. “The Wheel”: Half-hour magazine-style program showcasing university stories and is reported and hosted by students. Topics in this episode are student sexuality, hands-on learning in engineering, the Wiscontrepreneur Challenge and the “Jump Around” tradition.

Wednesday, March 17

  • 2 a.m. “Wisconsin Reflections”: Interview show featuring prominent UW–Madison alumni and friends, taped in front of a live audience. Alumnus Ed Garvey, a lawyer, politician and activist, is interviewed. He is editor and publisher of online political magazine FightingBob.com.

Tuesday, March 23

  • 2 p.m. “Office Hours”: Zoology professor Jake Vander Zanden and the Aquatic Sciences Center’s Phil Moy discuss the imminent crisis of Asian carp and the Great Lakes. They’ll also look at how other invasive species have affected our aquatic ecological system.
  • 2:30 p.m. “100 years of ‘On, Wisconsin!’”: Half-hour documentary covers the UW–Madison fight song’s history, lore and what it means to alumni.

Wednesday, March 24

  • 2 a.m. “Wisconsin Reflections: UW–Madison band director and campus icon Mike Leckrone is interviewed.
