Casting Call: UW-Madison National TV Spot

The university is looking for 50 of current and former students to appear in its new national TV spot, “Anthem,” to be aired this coming fall and winter during broadcasts of Badger sporting events. Those who would like take part in the 30-second institutional message are invited to attend a casting call this Friday, June 27, between 4 and 7 p.m. in the main lounge of the Wisconsin Center, 702 Langdon St., next to the Red Gym.

Those who wish to sign up should expect to have their picture taken. Participants must be available for the filming, which will take place on the steps in front of Bascom Hall on the evening of Thursday, July 10, weather permitting. The rain date is Friday, July 11. The camera is expected to roll at nightfall.

The commercial, which is being produced by John Roach Projects of Madison, will feature a chorus of students and alumni from middle-school age to senior citizens who have been part of the UW–Madison learning experience.

Last year’s spot, “Cheese,” won a national Telly Award.
