Bibliography of children’s books now available

Choices 1997, an annotated bibliography of books for children and young adults published in the last year, is now available from the Cooperative Children’s Book Center at the School of Education.

This annotated, indexed bibliography lists 247 books recommended by the staff of the CCBC for children from birth through age 16. The 120-page booklet is divided into thematic and genre sections, including books about seasons and celebrations; historical people, places and events; the arts; poetry; books for babies and toddlers; picture books; and new editions of classic literature.

Choices 1997 is available to Wisconsin residents for $3 and to out-of- state residents for $6. Anyone wishing to obtain a copy should send a check (payable to the Cooperative Children’s Book Center) to CCBC Choices 1997, 600 N. Park St., Room 4290 Helen C. White Hall, Madison, WI 53706. Copies are available free of charge to those who visit the CCBC.
