Badger homecoming committee looking for golfers

September 19, 2003 By

The UW–Madison Homecoming Committee is inviting golfers – whether or not they are Badger alumni – to become part of a tradition by participating in the Sixth Annual Homecoming Golf Outing on Friday, Oct. 17, at University Ridge.

The event benefits the Dean of Students Crisis Fund and student scholarships.

The 18-hole scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. In addition to the 18 holes, the package includes a complimentary golf car, a sleeve of University Ridge golf balls, a box lunch, golf shirt and more. There will be hole and putting contests, as well as a raffle, and players can be photographed with Bucky Badger.

The cost is $115 per golfer or $410 for a foursome. A new student rate and package is also available.

Those interested in joining in the fun can register online at http://www.uwalumni.com/homecoming, pick up a registration form at University Ridge, or call the Homecoming office at (608) 265-2731 and leave a message, including name, address and phone number, so that a form can be mailed. Registrations are requested by the end of the day on Friday, Sept. 26.
